Who is S. R. Jenkins?
Ever since I was a tiny tot, I've been writing stories.

One of the first tales I concocted was a serial about a missing object (possibly a roller skate?) and a group of friends trying to track it down. I believe at least one of them was murdered along the way through the use of a pit with spikes at the bottom. It was done in crayon on folded construction paper and included a detailed treasure map that guided the story.

I was 5 or 6.

Being a youngling, everything was an imitation of whatever media I happened to be ingesting at the moment.

This resulted in several ghostly romances, a few adventure stories about being shipwrecked, and an epic jukebox musical set in the Roman Empire during the persecution of Christians using the songs of Sandi Patti .

Many years, a lot of self discovery, and two degrees later, my love for the art of storytelling has only grown. Be it short fiction, novels, podcasts, screenplays, or stage plays, bring it on.

Today, my stories are no longer written in crayon, but murder, mystery, and supernatural elements still prevail throughout my work. (The occasional musical pops up too.)

With a full time day job in the foster care system and a family it's hard, but I still make time because the arts are as vital to me as the air I breathe. I can't imagine doing anything else.
